Children
We are a family church and all ages are welcome. We aim to work together with families so we can all grow in our Christian faith together. We believe children are able to hear from God and be part of His kingdom. We are on a learning journey to become an intergenerational community following Jesus together.
During our Sunday morning service everyone is welcome. We also have the following available:
-
Parents Room - a private space to look after your own baby or young child (such as feeding, nappy change, settling). You are welcome to use this room anytime.
-
Under 5 programme - You are welcome to stay or leave your under 5 year old who is ready for a story, song, and activity / free play. Morning tea provided.
-
Primary age programme - Small groups for children to connect with each other and grow their faith happen during many of our Sunday services. Sometimes these are grouped around ages, sometimes around interests (such as active or creative). Morning tea is provided.
-
Intermediate programme - The 11up lounge happens during many of our Sunday services, it is a place for preteens to discuss their faith journey and delve into the Bible together. Morning tea is provided.
The Avonhead Community Trust (ACT), affiliated with our church, also run a social club for intermediate aged children (Impact) and a holiday programme for children aged 5-13 years. See their website for more details.
