Grace upon Grace

“And from his fullness have we all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” John 1:16-17.

Jesus is both grace and truth. Not only single, once off grace, that amazing gift that allows a person who knows nothing about God to come into relationship with him. But also grace upon grace. After we accept Jesus and come into the family of God we still make mistakes, we still hurt people, we still let our Saviour down. God in his exceedingly great mercy towards us extends grace upon grace. He has an immeasurable store of love, forgiveness and acceptance for us which keeps us sitting at his feet and desiring his ways (truth).

As we have received, so let us give. Let us continue to extend grace upon grace to each other. Hope to see you at church camp, a great opportunity to be family together and further explore the love of God for us and towards each other.
