Greetings from the Leadership of Avonhead Baptist Church

I suspect that the year 2020 will be a year that will be remembered for many years as a significant event in the life of many people, business and even nations. It has been a year that has shaped and changed the way that we view our lives and the world.

But as significant as this year has been, like much of our lives, it is not the event itself that shapes us, but rather how we react to the event. If we bury it, bury the difficulty that this year brought then it is only a matter of time before this will surface in one way or another.

However, I am deeply grateful to God that at this Christmas time, we remember and recall the amazing gift that He gave in sending His son, Jesus. Jesus life and death came about for one reason. To enable all those who have experienced brokenness and pain, to find in Jesus healing in the depths of our beings.

The Bible tells that us John 8:36 So if the Son (Jesus) makes you free, you will be free indeed.

As we gather to worship over the remainder of 2020 and into 2021, I pray that you will come to know the true freedom that comes from knowing the love of God.

Blessings

Bruce
